Energy Level: Please do not doubt that this dog is high energy. It is very high energy. Being as smart as he is, the German Shepherd needs to maintain a level of mental stimulation to stay happy. A GSD that's bored is one that finds trouble and develops bad habits, such as destructive, dangerous and annoying behavior. The GSD loves going for long walks and playing in the fenced in back yard. Don't lose sight of this dog though because even trained, it might take off on you to find more trouble.
