Aussiedoodles for Sale & Adoption
Aussiedoodles are incredible dogs that are bred from two favorite breeds; the Poodle and Australian Shepherd. This dog takes what's so great about its ancestors and uses it as a crowd favorite. Aussiedoodle puppies are highly intelligent, fairly easy to train, and make wonderful family pets. Adult Aussiedoodles are patient and caring and make great dogs for small children and kids alike, which isn't to say that grown ups don't love them too. These dogs adore playing in the backyard, running around, and getting all types of exercise. They're also just perfect for snuggling with you in bed or on the couch.
Continue reading to learn more about the Aussiedoodle, otherwise known as a cross-breed mix between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle.
Popularity: Somewhat popular.
Trainability: Extremely intelligent and trainable and known as the canine Einstein, resulting in one super smart cross-breed.
Size/Weight: Medium sized dogs, weighing in at an average of 25-70 pounds (small size is due to a possible mix with a Miniature Poodle as opposed to a Standard Poodle).
Origin Location/Date: Unknown origin, but have been most popularly bred since 2000.
Energy Level: High energy, playful and affectionate, requires exercise every day in the form of a good long walk, run or rigorous play time.
Temperament: Very affectionate, good with children and great with adults, wonderful companion for singles, couples and families.
Necessary Space: Due to the high energy and exercise requirements for this dog, it's best to keep them in larger, more spacious living situations, such as a farm or a large house with a yard. Not particularly well suited for small apartments.
Talents: Highly intelligent, fast learners and very adaptable to training, but start young because these dogs are quite curious and tend to find something to do on their own if not kept busy.
Life Expectancy: 10-12 years.
Group: Mix, not applicable.
A few terms and phrases to describe the typical Aussiedoodle puppy and dog: smart, highly intelligent, curious, active, needs lots of exercise, patient, friendly, companionable, cuddly, energetic, loving, devoted, affectionate, adaptable, social, easily trainable and a great watchdog.
