Hello everyone! This is Tomlinson's White City Cat Rescue. No one is posting on this thing, but we've decided to share a quick piece of advice!
Find young kittens? If they are dirty and hungry, they are abandoned and need to be rescued. If they are healthy, they usually have a mom somewhere. If there is a mom, trap her and put her through a TNR program. If they are old enough, place the kittens in good homes or a rescue. If you find feral kittens about 4 weeks and older, get them! By then they can eat canned kitten food and will do better off as a pet. If left alone, they'll become feral. Kittens in the wild often have a high fatality rate.
We had a litter of feral kittens in September of 2023 eating wet food at a little over 3 weeks old. We took 2 home when they were 4 weeks and they are full grown now and are well behaved sweet cats!
Help the stray/feral kittens and get involved in TNR in your local area! Make a difference in outside cats' lives!
Below is a kitten age chart and our kittens Titus and Theophilus, 6-7 weeks old, then full grown!
