13 month old male, un-neutered Shih-Tzu. Weighs 17.2 lbs as of 2/13/15. Willing to drive up to meet half way (drive up to 4 hours one way) for the right family for him.
I purchased this little boy in June thinking he would be a great playmate for my female Shih-Tzu. He's a great dog. He's super sweet and great with kids and pets but my female Shih-Tzu isn't having it. She is the alpha female and consequently, she has waged war with him ever since I brought him home and... it's not fair to him so I need to find him a good home. If you have animals that are accepting of other animals and/or kids who would play with Mikey, he's an excellent pet to have.
I paid $500 for his re-homing fee. He has just been groomed, had his monthly Advantix and maintenance deworming done. He will come with belly pads (in case of incontinence) and a bunch of maxi pads to insert into the belly pads which by the way, are washable and hand made (all except for 1 which was purchased at PetSmart). He is not typically incontinent unless he's afraid. Also will come with his favorite blanket and bed and a few toys.
He's had all of his first year shots and has been dewormed. Coming from a clean, smoke free home. He is the sweetest boy but I cannot bear to see him day by day, afraid of my female. You might be wondering why I don't just get re-home my female. Well, I have had her for much longer and aside from being dominant in doggie world, she's a great girl and because I've had her longer, the bond is deeper and stronger.
Prospective adoptive parents will be screened. He must go to a good home who has time to work with him and give him the attention that he needs to thrive. When I purchased him last June, I was told that he is pure Shih-Tzu and the vet paperwork label him as Shih-Tzu. He is not papered and he is not neutered.
This little guy is really precious. He deserves a home where he can achieve his full potential without being on constant threat alert. He's a love bug and enjoys cuddling.
Re-homing fee is $400. Located in Marysville. Willing to travel half way (up to 4 hours) for the right home.
