Komo was a companion dog to 2 different elderly persons, each of whom in turn became too old to care for him. I have inherited him, but I already have 3 dogs, and he does best with no other dogs, or especially not another male dog. We have a large male dog and Komo tends to want to mark spots with pee and be more aggressive. When he was the only dog, and taken on a few regular walks each day, and supplied with a pee pad for the night, he is, not perfect, but much, much better. For now, he is wearing a belly band with an absorbent pad, and he doesn't mind it at all. He is very companionable but not pesky. He just wants to be in the same room with anyone else always. He barks when there is anyone coming to the door, and sometimes when he sees other people or dogs out the window, but otherwise, he is quiet. He bit a stranger once, when the big dog, who was restrained, was barking at the stranger, but otherwise has never bit or even growled at anyone. Komo weighs about 14 lbs. He has silky black and white hair that needs to be clipped about every 4 months.
