11 Month Old Cockapoo Needs New Home

I am looking to sell an eleven-month-old female cockapoo puppy. Me and my wife purchased this puppy in January of this year from a breeder's network. She is in perfect health, has had all necessary shots, has been spayed, microchipped, and has undergone basic dog training classes to learn walking, sitting, and voice commands etc. Her name is Riley. Full disclosure: We are looking for a new home for her because she requires further training as she is a high energy/active dog and we are just too old to commit more time and resources. She is just too much for us at our age as we are an elderly couple. Riley is an 'Alpha' female that jumps a great deal (on people) and has resource guarding issues where she can become aggressive, growls, and tries to bite when taking her away from spilled foods and items she has taken out of nearby garbage cans along with slippers and socks etc. This is the most important issue that requires proper training. She also has some separation anxiety. We have put alot of time, money, and work into raising her until this point but we have decided that we can do no more. We would like to rehome her with a person or couple that specializes in dog training and can give her the kind of care she needs. We fear that she may end up in the wrong home where she could be abused or euthanized for her uncorrected behavior. Aside from these issues, she can be a very good dog. Riley sits, shakes, and lays down on command and is very smart. She is also cage and pad trained. Riley enjoys playing fetch with tennis balls, loves tug-a-war toys, and chewing her bones. She also walks very well on her leash. We hope to find the kind of home she needs and will miss her companionship. We are asking $700 for Riley.
