Before ever making any sort of transaction, always ask the seller to hold the puppy you're interested in next to a piece of paper with your name on it. Have them take a photo of both and send it to you for verification.

Sellers can help by posting a photo in their ad with their pet next to a piece of paper that reads "PETCLASSIFIEDS.US."
