The Care Of Cats
There are a lot of philosophies regarding cats and how we should care for them and train them, and whether we should try to train them at all (some would say that cats are much better at training us). The information that I provide applies across a wide range of cat care approaches. For some, their cat is their primary or preferred source of companionship; others might not see their cat for days on end. But even those with the most handsoff and distant relationship with their pets can still benefit immensely from a better understanding of felines, both in terms of body and mind. That's because we know for certain that while cats can be complex and highly independent individuals, they still have very basic physical and emotional needs. There is plenty of anecdotal evidence to suggest that cats do indeed develop emotional partnerships with their owners and even in some cases can act consciously to comfort those who are distressed. At least 85 percent of cat owners believe their cat shows concern when they are unwell, and over 90 percent believe their cat offers them some kind of health benefit, including stress reduction and overall happiness.
Cats are obviously a big part of our lives, attitude and all, and I look forward to exploring cat culture with you.
