Shiloh is a beautiful 3 year old neutered long coat Akita who is available to an APPROVED pet/companion home.

Shiloh is very friendly and loves people and other animals, he gets along well with my friends 2 year old who plays with him and lays all over him. I would prefer he go to a home with children at least over the age of 6, as he is a big dog and easily could knock them over. He is on his 6th obedience class and doing well.

Shiloh loves going to doggy day care and gets along great with other dogs. He is NOT dog aggressive in any way but will defend himself if another dog tries to attack him.. He does not hold a grudge in a situation like this he simply will ignore the dog that was just aggressive towards him. Shiloh LOVES to go swimming and going on the boat. He is well behaved when on the boat too.

***He is NOT the dog for someone who has STRANGERS coming in and out of their home all day everyday!.*** friends and family he would know well. It's only strangers. Akitas can be very protective of their family and home. Shiloh is no different he does NOT like this and it stresses him out.*

He is very well behaved on the grooming table and doesn't mind his nails being cut at all. He just stands there.

Shiloh is very playful and loves car rides, having his tummy rubbed and will give you kisses all day long!... He is not food aggressive or a "beggar" for people food(as he has never had any). Shiloh does not have any health problems or has ever had any.

Shiloh is UTD on all his shots and has the Bordetella shot as well.(required for Doggy Daycare,).

He will NOT be placed in a home with cats or small critters*

I will be extremely picky about who I will place him with,... I am in no hurry to place him and have no problem turning someone down if I feel they are not the right home for Shiloh.

You will need to fill out my questionnaire as well. No exceptions!
