It's true, pets can now get in on the social networking craze. A new site, 'Dogpawfile' looks to take advantage of our interest in cute and cuddly pets online.

Dogpawfile is a social networking site devoted to pet lovers. Your pets now have a chance to network, and make friends with each other.

It's not the first pet related social networking site out there. Sites such as dogster do a similar thing, but without the clever and unique pawfile system and cool Myspace inspired profile page that every pet gets as their own.

The site places a great emphasis on posting only photo's that contain a picture of a pet in them. Dogpawfile, where pets do the talking communicate through the unique pawfile, which is a pet's photograph, accompanied by a descriptive paragraph that allows the pet to "speak." The site states that it has terrific moderators and this allows for a fun safe place to be whatever your age. The quality of the images suggests pet owners are taking the whole pet social networking idea very seriously. If your picture is good enough it could appear in the daily top 10, or even be featured as their Dog of the Day

There's even an area devoted pets that have passed on, this is called Rainbow Bridge, there you can post pictures, videos and even poems about your beloved pet and there is always someone there to talk to, if you ever need them.

Pet owners are encouraged to network among each other, or they can visit the sites other areas, the fun page, Online Magazine or the forum for all pet related issues.

They do have a memberships scheme, which entitles the member to among other things, a pass to their VIP area, although the site is totally free for everyone to join
