We would like to offer a home to those parrots in need of one. We are a family dedicated to providing a loving and healthy home to parrots in need. This is not a rescue we are a family, we simply have the means to care for parrots whose family finds they no longer can. We would like to also offer help with issue such as aggression, plucking, cage bound etc. We have a bird friendly home complete with bird rooms (we have migrated from 1 to 2) play stands and perches everywhere, homemade meals (in home Vegan), toys and plenty of playtime. Those of you that have a parrot know the cost involved in keeping them housed, fed, happy and healthy and we spend a good deal of money caring for our Angels. We have no donations, no fund raisers, no sponsors. We do this out of love. Our home is in a constant state of motion. Our Angels are fed first thing in the morning, all bowls are cleaned and cages are wiped down. Toys are rotated and cleaned, new ones added and destroyed ones tossed. The floors are swept and depending on the room its either music or Animal Planet. Bowls are cleaned, lunch is served. We keep water bowls clean and fresh, this alone is an all day task., whenever fresh food is served those bowls are also removed as soon as they are finished and cleaned. All supper meals are cooked. Our Daughter is a 3 year Vegetarian and a 1 year Vegan, she does the cooking. We provide plenty of fresh and seasonal fruits and veggies. On the weekends, everyone gets the big out door shower and all cages are taken out for a thorough cleaning. Rooms are cleaned and disinfected. Our Angels enjoy time out in the kitchen, study, bedrooms and dining room. They are part of our family, part of our everyday lives. This is a tough job but a labor of love we would choose no other path. Our home is open to any bird that needs a family. Finding a new home for your Angels is an important and tough decision.
